Fishers, IN – Acquire Automation, Inc., a leading provider of specialized vision inspection solutions and automation equipment, will be exhibiting in booth S37150 at the NPE international trade exposition in Orlando, Florida from May 7 through May 11. Sharing the booth with Acquire Automation will be its European strategic partner, One Box Vision.

In the booth, Acquire and One Box Vision will be showing videos that demonstrate the capabilities of their systems and sharing technical details about these new technologies.

New label wrinkle inspection method

Acquire Automation will be exhibiting a new proprietary vision inspection method for detecting label application errors that can impact a product’s visual quality and a company’s brand image. The vision technology inspects labeled product containers and lids, identifying aesthetic defects such as voids, flagging, blow-by, wrinkles, and bubbles and removing defective packages from the production line before they can reach consumers.

This technology can also be used in parallel with Acquire’s other vision tools to ensure compliance and that mismatch conditions between label and product are detected. Acquire’s easy-to-use Spectrum interface’s “train and go” functionality enable it to inspect large numbers of different package formats and label variations without having to maintain individual recipes for each file.

When asked about the technology, Acquire’s Vice President, Brian Mack, said, “The Acquire wrinkle inspection is an excellent addition to the Acquire capabilities suite that will enhance online quality, improve process information, and, in the case of a converter, provide a competitive advantage.  The end customer will benefit from improved product quality on the shelf, brand protection, minimized returns, and growth in today’s quality minded multigenerational consumers.”

One Box Vision’s ImageFlow 6.7 inspection system

In the booth, One Box Vision will be demonstrating its ImageFlow 6.7 system. ImageFlow 6.7 is designed to conduct high-speed vision inspection of a large range of products, including large molded parts, sheets and rolls, produced by the plastic industry. The ImageFlow 6.7 key functions include gel and carbon inspection, opacity and color inspection, print inspection, metrology, and final end-of-line part compliance.

Supporting First

In its NPE booth, Acquire Automation will also be conducting a fundraiser for First (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), a non-profit founded in 1989 to inspire young people’s interest and participation in science and technology. Acquire will donate $1.00 to First for every badge scanned in its booth on the first day of the NPE 2018 show (up to a total of $500).
